Keith Lee‘s Atlanta food tour drama lives on.
During a recent episode of “Nightcap with Unc & Ocho,” Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco Johnson had a heated debate about Lee’s recent Atlanta restaurant reviews.
While Sharpe is clearly sticking up for Lee and all he’s done for restaurants with his viral TikTok reviews, it’s clear that Johnson is taking the other side of the argument. Lee even created a video to chime in on the heated debate and give some more insight into all he does and why.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson Isn’t A Fan Of Food Reviewer Keith Lee
After Sharpe briefed Johnson on Lee‘s Atlanta drama, including all the trouble he had while trying to order food, customer service issues, and even death threats to the restaurants, Johnson told Sharpe how he really felt about the TikTok star.
“I don’t like the fact of what he’s doing. I don’t like the critiquing of our restaurants and having people, and talking bad about our god— businesses,” Johnson said. “You know how hard it is for us to even get in the food industry and to have our own restaurants; what are we doing?”
Johnson then said that people don’t ask for his opinion, but Sharpe set him straight explaining that a lot of restaurants reach out to Lee for his honest reviews.
“What are the qualifications of being a food critic,” Johnson then asked, to which Sharpe explained just what Lee looks at when doing a review. Johnson then suggested Lee does reviews of a bunch of other random five-star restaurants, and “give them the bad press.”
“Because you’re black doesn’t mean you’re above criticism,” Sharpe intervened. Johnson continued his argument saying, “It’s hard enough for us as it is.”
Then Johnson made an assumption about the bad service Lee received in Atlanta saying, “Service wasn’t bad because I ain’t never had bad service.” He then said that even if the service was bad, it could be chalked up to just having a bad day because of “some of the idiots they have to deal with.”
After Sharpe tries to explain his side of this debate, Johnson said he will “agree to disagree.”
“I like to leave my mark on all restaurants I go to, regardless of what it is. I am more about being the positive influence, and when I leave those places, and leave my mark, and I don’t want my mark to be that out of what brother Keith Lee is doing,” Johnson said. “Listen, I salute him for what he’s doing and what he’s trying to let the people know about restaurants in Atlanta.”
Keith Lee Has Joined The Chat…
Lee started his video with a clip of the heated argument and then jumped in to say he respects and values everyone’s opinions, and that he does agree that it’s hard to open a restaurant.
“To me, it seems like you have no idea who I am. And again, that’s okay with me. My main point was my qualifications. I’ll be honest with you, I’ve been a professional fighter for almost 10 years. I’ve traveled the world eating food,” Lee said. “I’ve cut weight from anywhere from 170 pounds to 135 pounds. And food is one of the most important things when it comes to cutting weight. So, at the end of the day, I’m just a foodie. I agree with you.”
He then flipped the switch to ask Johnson what his qualifications are to “Have this firm stance on this topic.” Lee said he felt this was Johnson’s first time ever seeing him, but if it’s not, he wants to know, “Why is this your first time speaking on me?”
“We’ve been blessed enough to raise over $40,000 for a restaurant owner who has cancer. We’ve been blessed enough to be used as a vessel to retire a teacher in less than 24 hours. We’ve been blessed enough to be a part of keeping multiple restaurant’s doors open,” Lee continued. “And all of this within a span of 10 months.”

Lee feels one of the main reasons he’s in the position he’s in is because he’s relatable. He also reminded everyone that he pays for his food like every other customer. He also doesn’t take anything from the restaurants regardless of how much business he’s able to help get in the door.
“You said I should only give positive reviews. The reason I don’t believe that will work is because it would be inauthentic. And hypothetically, if I was to be inauthentic, and you waited in a three-hour wait time and you got to the front and the food was trash, who were you gonna be mad at? The restaurant owner or me?” he continued. “Or 600 people who waited in line, they gonna all make videos and say I’m a fraud, say I lied. And that four-hour line only gonna be there that one time because everybody gonna say the food is trash.”
Lee said that 99 percent of his videos end “very positively” and that he’s officially done talking about Atlanta restaurants.
“So, to make a narrative that all I do is turn on businesses is completely false,” he concluded his video. “This is my last time speaking on anything that has to do with Atlanta. I want to get back to the fun, get back to eating, get back to touring, get back to going to good restaurants. I just want to eat food and mind my business like I always have.”
Many of Lee’s loyal followers hopped into the comment section of the video to leave their supportive thoughts.
“This response is immaculate,” one person wrote. Another added, “Your platform has been nothing but uplifting, keep being you.”
Many felt like Johnson didn’t follow all that Lee had done until Atlanta. “I don’t think Chad paid any attention to Keith [before] the Atl trip. Class response by Keith! Well done!” one person wrote. Another said, “Ocho clearly didn’t do any research, Keith, keep doing you, bro!”
